Meh, means owt of we’ve got zero trophies. I’d swap a few statistical losses for some silverware any day of the week.
We could be top after this season if we win and Man City lose their last games.
It’s not ideal that we’ve got the points without winning anything but the seasons Man City and Liverpool won their titles, they both had very few injuries and of course Man City have a big * next to their name.
Survey in here
Next season will be the 15th title race that I’ve enjoyed/endured in my life as an Arsenal supporter. So we have a 33% success rate as we’ve lifted the league title 5 times since 1988.
I’ve been here before, I remember the frustration that Wenger’s team finished 2nd 3 seasons in a row, I remember the frustration of a brilliant team underperforming in Europe. I’ve seen the club go into decline as glory slips away, I’ve seen us return to the top table several times.
Based on vibes, based on sensing the mood at the club, seeing young players improving year on year and the lovely home kit that just looks the fucking business… We’re going to be Champions next year.
Should show this to anyone who thinks Mikel isn’t doing a great job…
You just…
Simply can’t be saying that in full view of the footballing gods.
The only gods I believe in are Jimi Hendrix, Nick Drake, David Attenborough, John Peel, John Lennon, George Harrison, Chris Morris, Dennis Bergkamp, Tierry Henry, Ian Wright and David Rocastle.
The rest can do one.
As much as I would enjoy being Champions next year, Liverpool winning it this year has been such a hammer blow.
Can’t even say that I’m confident that we get over the line. We probably should but too much ptsd now.
Yeah I feel like there will be angst amongst the fanbase from minute 1 of the first game next season until we win the league with like 9 games to spare or something equally special.
UCL or EPL next year please.
Next season it will truly be a three horse race.
I actually expect Liverpool too fall off a bit.
Hopefully the fans like this give up their tickets this summer and let the rest of us go then.
The team and manager deserve our support. It works both ways, even though I’ll generally side with fans (spending our money) over players (earning ridiculous money), we should support our team from the off until they give a reason not to. That’s something like being 10 off the top by Christmas, not a bad pass to the opposition.
It sounds like even Kroenke is fed up with our pitiful attacking options.
I’m convinced there’s going to be a lack of faffing this summer. I’m convinced we’ll have two, maybe more, signings tied-up before the end of this month. Ayto will be in charge of departures, Andrea and Mikel working together on the incomings.
I’m optimistic that we’ll be organised as you suggest!
So many question marks about this side…
Hard to tell if we’re closer to the prize or further away than before.
