I agree, apart from Saka and Odegaard, we really lack any game changer upfront and in midfield.
Martinelli, Havertz, Jesus and Trossard are perfect squad options but really aren’t good enough to start for a team going for the title.
Let’s be honest, you will never win the title with the following attack:
If only we had Jesus from 22/23 season… never have I seen a player fall from grace so fucking hard like him before.
Went from an A-rated, to C- at best.
If not for a freak City team
That attack would have won the league twice
This season we lost a bit of our mojo
Mwah. Saka can be that player.
The problem is that the system/unit is flawed. Very depended on not conceding and dead ball moments. If we had a more balanced side (creativity on the left) the system/unit would have worked better.
We go again next season!!
Arsenal 2025/26!!!
Right, enough, let’s fucking stop with title talk. We’ve dropped way more points than we should’ve and between now and the end of the season there’ll be more.
Shambles.
Not buying a forward player has cost us.
Utterly embarrassing today. One of the worst performances I’ve ever seen from us tbh. Everton didn’t even have to defend particularly well, we were just a complete embarrassment.
We created next to nothing, spent the best part of 90 minutes passing the ball sideways, zero incisiveness with movement or with the ball.
I’m not sure if there were boos at the end but we 100% deserved it, no fan should have to pay to watch that rubbish.l
Nah, that wasn’t even the problem today, a forward wouldn’t have had the chances becasue we created fuck all.
I’m not even sure a striker would’ve helped us today. They would’ve just been a lampost.
The other 11 players are the slowest on the ball I’ve seen in years… nobody can pass and move in this team.
Dreadful all round.
Think it’s a system problem tbh, Arteta needs to figure it out. Cause the way we’re playing we’ll probs scrape 4th.
City loses every game and they’re still only 3 points behind us.
The whole way we attack needs a rethink as it’s not working.
Another opportunity to close in on Liverpool and the boys simply weren’t up for it. Zero urgency until the 80th minute.
Not good enough.
A better forward player (may be in place of Martinelli) today would’ve changed the dynamics of the game and we may have had better chances. And it’s not only about today. We’ve dropped far too many points than one would like.
If you’re talking about a wide player then yes I agree. But I don’t think a striker would have made much difference today.
Think I’m all out of optimism now with regards to winning the league. I think we’ll make up some ground and keep ourselves on the fringe of a title challenge, but there’s just no way that we’re gonna summon the consistency necessary to actually win it.
Guess I’m just gonna be optimistic about us doing something in one if the cups
Was talking about a wide forward player, yes. Specifically on the left instead of Martinelli/Trossard.
Or the one after that, or the one after. That’s been the story for 20 years with this club.
Liverpool had 10 men for the majority of their game against Fulham and scored more goals and managed more shots than Arsenal did with 11 today. They had better opportunities to score if xG tells you anything.
They created more chances in their 9 min stoppage time than we did in 90 mins. I was fucking depressed looking at that.
