The closest I can think of is Argentina - Germany. A clash between two huge teams with a ton of history but they don’t compete for real stakes frequently enough to say there is a proper rivalry.
As a Red Sox fan I’ll be spite rooting for the Dodgers the same way a Brazilian would root for Germany or an Englishman for Argentina.

Yeah, Argentina v Brazil or really one of them v England (maybe Germany).
Given their super high payrolls relative to the rest of the league, maybe a better comparison would be a Barca v Real CL final. Teams that have a large following of people that love to see them win or root for them to lose.
Of course, the losers are those that don’t want to see sport just reduced to whomever spends the most.
