I say we rebuild Hadrian’s wall with the labour of who didn’t vote.
Ah you see you have missed a trick there! You should have said those that didn’t vote should be made to build the prisons where they are they are going to be incarcerated.
In favour of accommodating homeless people or making accommodation affordable - sure.
Making sure people aren’t freezing on the streets is more important than old buildings that aren’t fit for purpose.
I would still say 25Bn pounds is exhorbitant.
I agree these are things that need to be resolved, and they can be. Shouldn’t be an either or issue. Do you realise how many homes in London alone are empty?
Private property. Knock down the landmarks instead and give the construction crews Union Jack toilet paper.
Issue of empty homes needs to be addressed. Homelessness is a key issue which needs to be resolved, but there is also a wider housing crisis. That doesn’t mean you go around demolishing landmark buildings.
Of course it does. Use the Magna Carta to wallpaper the flats that replace them.
So much disrespect for heritage, history and culture.
Currently in Ann Arbor with my father-in-law, as we are going to a music gig.
I really want to ask one of the locals what the yellow M refers to. Keep seeing it everywhere.
Which music gig?
Dave Stryker. He’s a jazz guitarist who I am not familiar with. I’m mostly here to accompany my father-in-law who is the jazz guy, and also plays guitar.
I think that yellow M is the U of Michigan logo thingy. See it around even in these parts now and again.
I’m renovating my one car garage and turning it into a man cave. New paint, shelves, epoxy flooring, TV, furniture, mini-fridge.
Hopefully it’ll be ready before the season kicks off.
Like the G thing in Athens, GA?
We are lucky enough to be getting a double garage once my family moves to LA, but unfortunately I reckon this will be filled, floor to ceiling, with stuff we can’t fit into what will be a smaller house.
Yup, pretty well the norm for double garages around here. Sorry, don’t know about the Georgia thing.
