I don’t think so tbh. Likewise Hoddle wasn’t and in a different way Giggs isn’t really.
Guess it’s on the individual but personally I can separate those issues from playing days.
I thought that was cos he never used to wear a tie…
Jack and Olivia seem to win this every single year lol
I very rarely remember my dreams, so it was especially weird to wake up this morning and remember what had happened in my sleep.
I’m in a non descript corridor, about to enter one of the rooms. As I go to open this door, I turn to my left, and Arsene is stood there. I’m dumbstruck, and of all of the things you might find yourself saying to the greatest manager you’ve seen at your club, I find myself commenting on the retro Nike/Arsenal training pullover from 1996 that he’s wearing.
I compliment him on it, awestruck that hes kept it for near 30 years, and also remark on it looking basically brand new. All he says in response is that I should wait 5 minutes. He brushes past me and goes into the room I was about to enter, and minutes later emerges with a parcel (that feels like a soft item of clothing) neatly wrapped like a birthday present, with a bow, wearing a different top entirely.
He says, “this is my gift to you” and hands it over, alongside a piece of paper with his phone number and email address. He apologises for having to leave immediately, but says he’d love to chat and I should give him a call, before turning his back on me and sprinting full pelt down the corridor.
Suddenly, I’m at home, unwrapping the parcel. I open it up and there are two Arsenal away 97/98 shirts, one with Campbell on the back and the other with Luzhny printed on it.
So I give him a call and asked him where these shirts came from, and pointed out that Campbell and Luzhny didn’t wear that shirt, and he replied, “Don’t you follow current affairs? There’s a war in Ukraine mate, that Campbell shirt will be worth thousands”
Then I woke up.
FTFY
My dream was far too surreal for such an every day occurrence to have been part of it
In the gym in Dubai (@JakeyBoy favourite place on earth) and Jean Claude Van Damme is here. What an absolute icon, still in great shape clearly looks after himself
What can I say, I’ve been a big fan of human rights for years now.
I’m with you.
LinkedIn is nothing but a bunch of self-aggrandising ego-wankers
You’ve literally just described the entire social media universe
I’ve never used linkedin in my life
I joined LinkedIn and I go there when I get a notification to say some random co worker has added me. It’s really quite pointless for Civil Servants.
Ever used jeevansathi? Are the ladies nice on there?
Asking for a friend
I get approached for a couple of jobs a week on there, so it’s marginally useful the once every 3/4 years I want a new job. But reading people’s opinions and talking to them on there? No thanks.
I got my current job because of LinkedIn, so the platform does serve its core purpose. I would have abandoned it long ago otherwise
why?
Because the overworked and poor guys in the underfunded MET have nothing better to do.
