The randomly nothing thread

hehe yeah I know, I just saw an opportunity to stick that in there  (I actually read the article as well).

Anyone in the market for a new career?

I’d like to pretend I’m intellectually superior to this, but I really do want to see what Eastern European ladies having sex with balloons is really all about.

Bloody hell, that’s sad.

Now that’s a rude joke life played on a bald person

There are more reckless drivers than bad cyclists.

Try riding in London if you wanna see the worse clueless drivers

Tbf the infrastructure in this country is so bad for cycling.
Really isn’t worth the risk in so much of this country.
I stopped using my bike for commuting years ago.
Literally got to be lucky everyday. Really isn’t an either or with drivers or cyclists.

What does this mean?

ā€œA driver who injured a cyclistā€

Erm, he doesn’t touch her or her bicycle…?

Not drivers of either bikes or cars directly responsible for these incidents as one body. Get bad cyclists. Get bad drivers no doubt.
lot of the time though both are put in impossible situations because of lack of infrastructure. Basically cyclists need too be off major city centre roads and have paths/cycle lanes incorporated for them.

Yea that’s fair. I’m a basically former cyclist myself at this point but I’m always super aware of people on bikes when driving. I actually think when learning to drive people should be told very very clearly that cyclists are traffic too and that a car is basically a murder weapon if you don’t treat it right. Absolutely city streets should have segregated lanes but bitch ass car owners and business owners just object wholesale to those type of moves.

I love what the Mayor of Paris has done in juts not giving a fuck and instituting proper infrastructure. And obviously places like Copenhagen and Amsterdam have had it right for decades.

Close passes like that are scary as fuck and can easily unbalance you. There’s clearly not enough room to pass like that, the driver is totally at fault.

But did the driver injure her? It’s literally just the language (used by an employee of the Police) for me.

Assuming injuries occured then yes, the driver did it imo (and their own too as they made a guilty plea).

If I’m that guy’s lawyer, I’m arguing every from slippery surface to her stopping with the wind we can hear in the video knocking her down.

Then I’m winning and suing the police for libel… I feel like a large movie deal coming on too. :sunglasses:

He plead guilty. Probably didn’t have a lawyer.

Should’ve hired me, he’d of owned her bicycle when I was through.

This little hell island has such a weird hate fetish out for cyclists.

Yeah sure I get it they can be annoying as fuck when I’m in the car

However drivers can be annoying as fuck when I’m on my bike.

Honestly if cyclists were victims of some terrorist attack by a brown guy, I wonder who the media and public will back?

I find drivers lack of respect for cyclists baffling.

You have road users on unstable machines with no evidence of passing a driving test - my stance is always caution because they potentially don’t know what the fuck they’re doing out here, yet people want to get close, cut them up and generally take the piss. Same with learner drivers, but even worse because they’re in a car fully capable of smashing your own to bits.

But then everyone’s nice to a horse :arteta:
