I can’t claim any in-depth knowledge of Aussie slang, but I’ve known the word schmozzle for donkey’s years - and with that spelling. Definitely steers it towards Yiddish.

There is a layer of green dust on EVERYTHING!!! Pollen is so bad this year. I keep having 30 minute long sneezing fits and the CV-19 jokes are getting thin.

Yeah same, it’s really bad in the UK and Denmark as well.
I wake up every morning and do at least 4-5 big sneezes, runny nose and itchy eyes etc Throat feels a bit weird too. And yeah like you said the Corona jokes are old now.
I’ll tell you what though, my doctor prescribed me some new hay fever medicine called Fexofenadine Hydrochloride (Probably has a different name in the US) and it is amazing.
Sorts me right out for the whole day!

Don’t think it has any effect.
I don’t know about that. But, for the Pacific Northwest it’s typically raining this time of year… a lot. And we haven’t seen any significant rain for weeks. Typically the rain would keep the pollen down, but it’s drier than a popcorn fart around here, so the pollen is floating free. Just a guess on my part.

Settlement for the sale of my apartment is supposedly going through today which is a welcome relief, cuts around $2000 a month off the mortgage.
Could have used it as a rental, but glad I didn’t given the current climate of everything. Although spending over 1 million dollars on a property in October probably wasn’t by best decision in hindsight .

Wtf lol, I can’t make out what the thinking was lol, bit fair play.
I never understood why more people didn’t adopt that simple strategy to guarantee themselves half the winnings.
Short of the other person doing a runner out of the studios which would be unlikely in the circumstances.
I think Goldenballs got cancelled as it was too blatant a representation of how selfish most of us are when it comes down to it, but it could just as easily have been cancelled due to 2 people taking home cash each and every show with that strategy
