As a subject of European-wide mockery of course :+1:

Bloody classic. Got all homesick when I saw that.

Just above the red car was the away dressing room. I remember a very young Bobby Charlton leaning out of the window chatting to a bunch of girls gathered below.

ZING!!!

During my work stay in Ibiza, a journalist tagged along for a few days, she wrote an article. Here it is:

Obviously it’s Dutch, so Google Translate it if you wanna read it.

My debut in the media? Drinking tequila shots on Ibiza. #goals

Okay

Logs out in jealousy

I’ve been watching a lot of those rich kids tv shows lately, like rich kids go skint and rich kids go homeless and what I got out of them are how much a waste of money some of the gucci clothes cost them and how they cant live without them, how on earth can they possibly charge so much money for a piece of clothing and most of the time they look hideous anyway, I just don’t get it.

Look at this for example

why would you want to pay £850 to look like where’s wally

and look at the state of this one

almost £2000 for what looks like an curtain

lastly, how ridiculous do these guys look at the top of the page

especially the creepy guy on the left with the dog

I could go on all day, not just gucci there are loads of other company’s that charge stupid prices for clothing

I’ve found another couple

these jeans you could literally get a similar one in Primark for about £10, just without tiger/lion and heart above it

and then this one looks like something out of Hogwarts

Most of the time the price is not for the product but rather its the cost of maintaining the brand identity confined to rich and the marketing expenses associated with it.

Gucci is creating the attire and also distancing themselves from the masses by making it unaffordable, that is what makes it attractive to the upper class.
They can’t or don’t want to wear what the general masses would wear.

Yeah their prices are crazy, £340 for leggings that you can get in Primark for £5-£10?! I’d respect myself even if I had footballer type wages and not wear it

The stuff sold in Primark is absolute shite though, let’s not pretend otherwise just to mock the price of designer items lol.

Yeah there is a middle ground between top end designer and Primark.

Primark leggings are only great if you don’t mind everyone being able to see your underwear.

I defo hear you.

My company give us a £250 Selfridges gift voucher every Christmas as a little something. Imagine how it feels when you walk into the store and you can barely use the voucher to afford a belt even.

I’ve accumulated 2 vouchers now that I’m gonna put together to contribute to a new TV or something.

They’re fine for me as long as I don’t wear neon pink underneath :joy:
