The R.I.P thread

I never seen him play and you don’t see many clips of him either but his numbers are just utterly incredible.

RIP.

Certainly up there Strolls with the great, if not the greatest Jimmy Greaves

As important if not more so than Beckenbauer to the history of Bayern and German national team.

I’d definitely put those two up there as the greatest strikers ever

I’d put Pele in with them but just being in the conversation is as much as anyone can do.

C.Ronaldo has outdone them all so it’s hard to look past him as the greatest goalscorer. All depends on how you define his position I suppose. Started out as a wide player but used central pretty much from his Madrid days.

Shit. RIP, such a great comedian.

Awful news about Sean Lock. Too young.

RIP

So sad, beat cancer twice, sadly lost the third battle.

I recommend 15 Storeys’ High. Dystopian, weird and very funny. Some nice cameos from the London comedy scene of the time.

He was a top bloke, he did an impromtu stand-up at a kids party over Victoria Park, Hackney a few years back. None of my media mates have a bad word to say about him. Which is unusual.

RIP Sean
