The Other Premier League Fixtures Thread (old)

Martial is still very hit and miss.

Rashford and Sancho should be good together tho sadly.

Hot take: I donā€™t think Pep will win the PL again.

If he stays at City I donā€™t see why not.

Letā€™s not forget Salah and Mane will be competing at Afcon next season.

Fair, I think Chelsea and United to step into the void as real competitors.

I think City are in going through a slight refit

Weā€™ll see but neither United or Chelsea have the defence required IMO

That applies more so to Chelsea than United, who currently have the third best defensive record in the league in a ā€œbadā€ season.

If United can get the right offensive formula theyā€™re going to be in the top 2 next season.

I agree. Martial, Rashford and Sancho as a front 3 with Pogba, Fernandes and another CM in midfield. Thatā€™s problematic.

Sure they have can have it in a shitty season but going for the league? I donā€™t see it.

Donā€™t see the nous in play or steel in the team, DDG is a fading force and they have a similar issue we do in that one of their flanks at FB is piss poor. Rashford and Martial have a hell of a lot to prove, I could break down Rashfordā€™s season as decent-good.

OGS isnā€™t leading them anywhere significant for me.

Have to say another brilliant season by Burnley. Thirteen wins is good going. Thatā€™s as many as Wolves in fifth spot. Thatā€™s Howe, Potter and Hodgeson who all had more on paper all in the bin.
Dyche upsetting the prem fashionistas for another season. Gotta love that. Keeping the game real.

Theyā€™re on target to ship 38 goals, not really set defensively on that basis

Is it going to be safe for Leicester City to play? Or even for opposing teams visiting Leicester?

I tend to imagine footballers donā€™t socialise in general population. Plus they have loads of tests to check them all.

I thought this mate. Iā€™d be pissed off being put into lockdown while football going on in my city.
I know they pay for their own tests but who gives a toss when youā€™ve got a setback like this.
Football being exempt in a situation like this would be counter productive for me. Have to play somewhere else surely.

I donā€™t get why, if itā€™s safe to play, PPE and tests are paid for by the clubs and itā€™s in no way detrimental to wider public health efforts (say if they were taking tests away from regular folk) then what is it thatā€™s actually pissing you off?

Not having a go, just not sure I get it.

Iā€™m coming from the angle of everyone in the city being setback.
Everyone cautiously gearing up for coming out of a few more restrictions and then having it taken away.
So that might mean kids gearing towards going the swings. Some going the pub. Some having there business reopen or getting back to work all put on hold. The only exception being a game of football would just piss me off. I just think itā€™s a body blow and seeing a game of football as any significance would just annoy me.
