The NHS

My advice to anyone booking an appointment, refuse any offers to see anyone other than a GP.

My surgery has started offering all manner of “specialists” who aren’t GPs even when I tell them I have a rare disorder and only one of their GPs knows how to treat it.

They get the funding for this.

There are a million quangos that get DHSC funding for whatever shite Jeremy Cunt and his mates dream up.

And they have got fundings for non-doctors to get masters to play Doctor, funding for PAs (who can’t prescribe or order scans but are paid more days one than 3rd year post grad doctors.)

And the targets say they have to have this many services running with this many appointments and have this much staff available and be this much under budget.

They don’t care how many people get misdiagnosed, die or how unqualified this staff is, as they’ve met the target. Then they get promoted and eventually become the head of one of these shit quangos that just spaff money up the wall.

Well done, exactly.

I don’t buy all this ‘some stuff could he done by somebody else’

A lot of stuff could be, but your first appointment should be with a doctor who can then tell if that is true or not.

Doctors are pluripotent individuals that are best to medically manage someone in all aspects, in terms of, if you come with something, they could be able to tell the reason for this is actually some issue somewhere else that hasn’t even become apparent yet.

The other practitioners might miss that.

I guarantee you they will try it where you are as well.

People are getting older, healthcare more expensive.

The taxpayer has less cash. The pigs have more profit.

You always thought ‘we’ll always need Doctors’ so job security wasn’t an issue.

You could never have thought these neoliberal ghouls would just write off the populations they ‘lead’ and let quacks go crazy on them for profit.

We’ve a strong tradition of copying shit ideas from the UK. Thankfully however FPTP was rejected in two separate referendums!

I bet the mainstream parties were gagging to get that one through.

The second one happened in 1968 so i cant comment directly  but I suspect so yes!

You’re saying it’s possible?

Not here it isn’t. Calm down :joy:

Noted last night that the PM said the scheme of taking consultations out of the hands of GPs “has been a great success and will be extended” if he wins the election.

Fuck that clueless loser.

Wonder how that shot firm got the contract to handle all that data…

This is what centralization gets you… Every single time. Maybe get the government out of healthcare

I’m sure nobody would be treated as cheaply as possible in a private system.

True. But more people would be treated better. I believe you get what you pay. Good cars arent cheap, good clothes, shoes etc arent cheap. Same concept applies to healthcare.

We all pay plenty for the NHS.
