We’ve been tracking this for a while on the site I work with and it’s been below 1% for 3 years now. We stopped supporting browser specific fixes for it so had to keep track (Govt site so can’t just switch off support and forget about it).
We used to have certain systems that only ran on IE but we have since packaged these for use with Edge. There is literally no reason to keep using IE. Edge even has IE compatibility mode ffs
I thought IE was just the installer that launched when you set up Chrome on a new computer.
My sister has been working on a lengthy project to migrate all the banking software which were only designed for IE.
The people(boomers) in these government institutions really don’t want to go through the hassle of installing a different browser.
They go by the guidelines which starts
