I previously dated a guy who ran a property agency business including Air bnb rentals - and there was a couple who once booked a flat with a special request for rose petals.
As I helped out the guy to prepare the flat, my task was to lay down rose petals just like that all over the bed and also on the floor from the front door, leading through to the hallway etc.
It was quite fun in the end, laying them down and knowing the guests would love it. And they did 
took ages though, but good hospitality is pleasing your guests, so I agree that people booking should request away!
