Watching Giroud that game like
I remember that was the tie which got me truly upset for a good few days. Having gone out against Barca, Milan and Bayern the last few years before that, really felt we should have gone past Monaco. Yes, that Monaco side was decent, but we should’ve still beaten them.
Looking on the bright side though, I came to realisation (if it hadn’t come already ) to put no faith on that Arsenal side of Wenger’s later years.
Still the worst first choice Arsenal striker in my 29 years on this earth.
Wright, Henry, Van Persie. Even Adebayor. All way better than Giroud.

Adebayor missed a lot of chances in his best season for us, but he was genuinely one of the best strikers in Europe that year. He scored an absolutely belting goal against Villarreal in the CL as well. Shame about his attitude - played his best football under Arsène and never reached that level consistently again.
