Not Matt Hancock being a twat again
Oh good, I would like to hear about this heroic role in the pandemic. I guess that role was kept quiet because of the book deal?
I think it’s appropriate to handicap MPs when it come to their secondary income.
The idea kinda runs counter to the principles of a free society but I think the affairs of elected officials needs to be beyond reproach from the start
Well done red wall
Matt Hancock book deal will see him tell of heroic role in pandemic | Daily Mail Online
The winner of the “Best Fiction Book” by a politician.
Hancock is a lot of things but heroic or modest, he isn’t.
A money grabbing, sleaze ball, who looks after his wealthy friends would be a better description.
Stanley’s in trouble. Like father like son.
And on corruption
Lord Agnew was also the source of the referral for one of the largest beneficiaries of Covid procurement – Uniserve . The company was awarded £304 million in PPE contracts thanks to the VIP Lane, alongside its existing £572 million contract to handle PPE logistics. More recently, Uniserve has been paid over £124 million (£1 million/day) to store excess PPE.
Nice work, if you can get it
She is just as much of a dumb cunt as Peston and Kuenssberg, but not as good, even more mean and stupid.
Dumb dumb cunt cunt if you will
I actually feel insulted. I have met Stanley Johnson and he didn’t try to touch me.
Knowing the nuts and bolts of corruption of career politicians was of course smeared as conspiracy theory in the past, but we all deep down knew what was going on really. Troughers, and worse. Some of this stuff compromises national security, and that is where it is extra contemptible.
Things are lining up very nicely for Labour in 2024…
You think?
I dislike Boris et al but don’t think Starmer has done a single thing to help his cause. If Labour win it will be because people vote against Tories as opposed to for Labour…but I guess that’s how Biden won
The question should be how long can BJ sustain support in former red wall areas that still lean to the left in terms of policy and mentality.
It’s a given that the Tories will bleed support in 2024, to what extent will depend on Labour and its campaign.
Starmer doesn’t need to do anything major yet
Labour has been in opposition through Davud Cameron, Theresa May, and Boris Johnson. If need be the Tories will replace Boris Johnson a year before a general election and that still has a decent chance to prevail over Labour. It could well take one more leadership change, at least, beyond Starmer, before Labour is ready again.
Also, part related, part aside, it’s not a sleight in any way, but just factual, that football fans and football fan forums skew quite a bit left and are not representative of the electorate as a whole, and hence often can have views quie distant from reality. A reason in part why I personally don’t get too deep into politics in these environments. Labour is still a ways off as I see it, on multiple levels, and still reliant on the performance of the Tories rather than themselves, and their agenda.
