The Conservative Party

These “bullying” scandals are laughable Westminster bubble nonsense.

Unelected faceless bureaucrats in the civil service shouldn’t have the clout to topple duly appointed ministers from an elected government and minimise their impetus to implement govt policy.

The business of government is harsh and demanding, particularly in the home office and justice department. If you cant handle being shouted at or demands being made of you then gtfo.

Seriously read into these reports and the “bullying” complaints are softest things that you’d see in any other private high level corporate office.

I know a civil servant who has worked directly for Hancock and Javid when they were Secretary of State for Health, and they have said that Raab’s behaviour went beyond the usual cut and thrust of govt politics, and that his behaviour stood out when compared to other Tory cabinet members.

And they’re not a rabid lefty, before anyone makes assumptions, they often refer to “Matt” and “Saj” and have argued with me about them being good people, lel. So they’re not predisposed to hating all Tories and they’re certainly not on board with trying to team up with other civil servants to maliciously bring anyone down lol.

Its funny you say that, I genuinely also know someone who worked directly under Raab and thinks he’s the nastiest person he’s ever worked for.

Where’s the idea come from you have to be a rabid lefty to point out bullying?

So what was he doing exactly? Telling people their work was shite?

Bit rich coming from him

Look if your partizan and already predisposed to the Tories I can see why you would get giddy on Raabs resignation but the civil service, particularly careerist senior figures, are permanent fixtures.

Its a cross party parliamentary issue if a minister of a major department can be brought down for “abrasive” behaviour in a work context. Or shit like below:

Feeling pretty giddy about Raab resigning, ngl

The civil service have done lots and gone outwith their remit, broken the civil service code on behalf of their Tory masters.

So to say they are partisan or rabid lefties is not true.

I never said they were either.

What they are is very consuming and power hungry in the sense individuals will do what it take to get rid of duly elected and appointed figures who challenge the authority of senior civil servants.

Ministerial prerogative is at stake here, we should not foster a culture where you have the treat civil servants, senior or junior, with kid gloves for fear being being subject to a thin “bullying” threshold

Hmm you may have a point there, because I can’t believe the stuff they did in terms of repeating Tory propaganda from their supposedly unbiased accounts.

In any case, he should have resigned for doing such an awful job.

Thats some great banter, it really is

Where’s all the money gone?!

It’s simple when labour came into power there was surplus money. When they left we were borrowing and continued to just borrow. When we tried to reduce spending everyone complained so they just kept borrowing. Our tax money is not enough but everyone wants more spending on government programes from money we don’t have. That with inflation from the last time labour was in power is much higher. I can garante that bar will be even higher when labour gets in as no one wants to be the government that brings austerity again

Bent, inept cunts enacted a ruinous programme of austerity and still doubled the national debt.

Still dumb cunts out there who are like “but imagine how bad things would have be if Labour were in charge instead” (just imagine I’ve written that in spongebob text, cos I cba alternating caps lock this early in the morning)
