It does show maturity on @SRCJJ and @Hass to have changed their opinion with time.
Good on them, and good on Arteta.
Some others should take notes. :arteta4:

Haha wild and extreme times indeed. You were either expected to follow the norm and say Arteta out, or dare to defend him and be called an Artetasexual!
Fun times
I think dumping the first 8th placed finish on him is a little unfair, he took over a team on Boxing Day that was already playing poorly.
We were on a run of 1 win in 13 games when he took over and like 11th or 12th in the league table I think. He finished 8th and won the fa cup I think that’s not bad.
The second season was properly shit tbf. By far the worse season in my memory.
This entire conversation is brilliant, MM sheepishly apologizing for dragging Hass and SRCJJ through the mud- sorry not sorry vibes.
Yet as he mentions the FA Cup.
You can tell we were all emotionally fucking dead at that point. Mikel took a fucking pay cut to come from Everton to play for us in this modern climate.
Captained us to an FA cup as a player and manager and it literally meant nothing to anyone.
I get it was Covid culture but it really rubbed me the wrong way. Thank fuck the home and especially the away crowd took so strongly to him. Bridging the gap between club and fans was probably his most impressive act as a young manager in my opinion. You look around right now and not many can do that.
Yeah you were
You can’t be pulling up two year old quotes that have aged poorly and then acting like you aren’t calling people out for their poorly aged opinions
Nah digging out has a negative connotation to it. I was just lightly ribbing these guys and they’re mature enough to laugh it off. Stop being a menace lol
Yo I beg you lot click that arrow next to the posts so we can drag some more of you wretches into the mud with us
So bad with the subs again.
We should hire someone to do that for him.
Yep, needed to get MORE control in the game and he takes Jorginho off lmao
I’m worried about the lack of desire some of these players have shown in some of these recent games. It’s astonishing how little fight some of them have shown
Name names
The mental has not been right at all today especially after they should be on a high after beating a good Newcastle team
No fight or real desire especially the 2nd half, there are no excuses for that
To see it end like this is really a kick in the nuts
Well, gotta credit what they gave against Newcastle but mad how they can go from that to this in a week. Just because City beat Everton or what?
Come on, really weak mentality on display today. Was the same against West Ham and Saints (bar the last 10).
This result is on Arteta…
Totally lost all control of the game in the second half
Next season can we not do this ‘focus on the league’ false positive. Binning competitions doesn’t do a damn thing.
If we need the squad, make the squad.
I would say the players had a part in this also…
The “binning” the cups narative is so fucking stupid haha. We tried but failed to progress in the cups, we didnt just bin it.
I wasn’t a fan of taking off Jesus and Odegaard but I certainly can’t put this result on Arteta.
Players totally capitulated after the goal. Think the dudes on the pitch should take responsibility for this moreso than the coach.
Honestly I’d point to pretty much everyone bar maybe one or two tbh
