Super Mik Arteta

The worst start for us in 128 years. Zero wins, zero goals in the first three games. Another record shattered.

Big brain board and club.

Arteta achieving things no-one managed to achieve in 128 years. #historymaker

128 years? I heard it was our worst start since 1954, unless memory fails me. Depends on how it’s measured I guess.

According to my Dutch source: it is the first time in 128 years Arsenal lost all three games and didn’t manage to score.

According to the article we at least scored in those first three games in 1954.

Just looked up what the world was like 128 years ago(1893).
Thomas Edison was still alive and building the first motion picture studio. ffs man, Arteta.

There is no excuse not to sack him.
How can anyone in the media can defend what he’s doing?

He has been a PL manager long enough for the players to have adapted to his “style” of play.
He has had plenty of money to spend.
He’s had plenty of opportunities to shift the dross.
The board have seen the club go backwards since he arrived.

There are plenty of new managers to the PL, who haven’t experienced this league before or who have a fraction of the budget we have, that are doing better than him.

The only supporters happy with him are from rival clubs.

Fucking dunce cap boy Josh doesn’t know how to write you’re sacked. He’s thick as shit and as soon as Shiteteta tells him don’t worry the projects on track he’ll be sending a congratulatory case of champagne.

I’ve never seen an Arsenal team look as clueless as this and with so little pride for the shirt. Even Tierney who looked brilliant when he first started playing for us looks like he’s lost all his good old fashioned defensive edge.

I read that Willian is willing to lose 14m in the next 2 years just to get away - fair play for having some pride and escaping this mad house (although he looked terrible when he did play).

This disaster is all on the manager, his hopeless coaches and his bosses right up to the top of the tree. I’m in a rage.

:100: This, I hated his appointment and was livid at the time, didn’t want to come off as a salty baby and tried my best to get behind him. Tried to believe, bought into what he was saying but my gut feeling about this dude was right. And it’s not that I hate him, I just don’t think he’s good enough for Arsenal, and I just can’t believe he was appointed when there was definitely much better options available. Not like he was a free agent, we had to take him from City and pay them compensation. Then gave him some big ass 3 year deal, could of got a top manager for what we paid for him. Nearly two years wasted on top of the 8+ years Wenger wasted and the 1 with Emery. A total of 11/12 years of some bullshit “rebuild”, which like Rocky was saying is actually a continual decline FFS

I also read he turned down a move to MLS cos his wages would be much less so I think this is probably bollocks given he’s still here.

It’s probably going to take us half the season to get a positive goal difference if go by the numbers of last season

I’m more concerned with getting our first point in this moment in time

Me too.
I couldn’t believe it when they chose Arteta.
It was a lazy choice by a lazy clueless board.

Picking him above all the other top managers we could, and should have had, was ridiculous.
But to persevere with him, after seeing us finish mid table, playing boring football, as well as doing shambolic transfer business is insane.

To think we could have had almost any top European manager and Kroenke opted for this novice.

This is all his fault and, just like my opinion of Arteta, I never wanted Kroenke anywhere near our club.
They are both useless at what they do and will drag us into the Championship if this circus carries on.

Reminds me a bit of when AvB worked at Chelsea. He slept in a hyperbaric chamber or something like that at the training ground.

That type of intense devotion to the job is fine but it doesn’t make up for a lack of emotional intelligence which we know Arteta doesn’t have. Now he’s in a spot where he needs to rally the players and have them bail him out. But he’s just not very good at that part of the job is he?
