Super Mik Arteta

White and Gab should be back no?

I expect Xhaka and Arteta to get nice contract extensions after today’s stellar performance

Good point, although there’s plenty of time for a “setback” to occur in the next two weeks.

Still not sure where the goals are coming from.

Gabriel will no doubt pick up a knock for Brazil’s U23.

0/9 Points in the first three league games, yet I don’t believe he’s close to being sacked.

We’re so in the shit here.

As shit as we are, and seeing some people asking for Conte.
It’s like being stranded in the middle of the desert and asking for a diet coke, when what we really need is water to survive.
We might still get the diet coke though, but it’ll dehydrate us more. We really need that water.

Unfortunately, all we have now is a feckin melting ice cube…ffs

Exactly, but It’s not even just that.
The fact he’s wasted so much money on players we don’t need, as well as bringing in players like Willian and Cedric on massive wages.
Then giving Xhaka a new contract, rather than selling him like any normal manager would have, and making him captain.

There’s no perceivable style or plan, he’s clearly lost the dressing room so the longer he stays, the more we’ll get dragged down.

Surely the board will sack him after this game.

The better question is… Is Arteta really any better than Freddie?

Surely Freddie would’ve made/make (what’s the right word here?! ) some bad decisions, he’d make some right one’s too… I’m pretty sure he’d do just about a similar job like Arteta in the end, worst case ontario.

They won’t. That’s why he was kissing ass in his most recent interviews. He was thanking the board and Edu for “explaining the project” like he hasn’t been here for the last two season. He’s trying to pass the buck while also sucking up to them.

Only a former top club like Arsenal will appoint someone head coach and manager without any fucking prior experience whatsoever.

Which global corporation does that?

Arteta managing Arsenal is like appointing a janitor to become head engineer without
Having done any additional education and experience. It just doesn’t make any sense.

Same for Edu. A nobody with no corporate credentials, but becomes technical director.

Having said that final blame is with the Kroenkes.

Sky Sports and Athletic rushing their defence pieces any minute now. Compromised opinionated fucks.

Yep, Goebbelsblog propaganda incoming.

And even though I know it’s coming, the news that Arteta’s job is safe and that the board have full confidence is going to cause a blood vessel to burst in my eye

That’s far more important, pal

They’ll give him until at least Christmas. On paper the fixtures look kinder.

Norwich is suddenly super important. I suspect he plays it safe with the aim of getting a point before playing away to Burnley and then Spurs.

Who or what is that water though?

For me just having a manager that understands how to make the most effective system out of what is currently there and identify players that cannot do the jobs in that system under any circumstances to then upgrade upon that weakness is H2O.

Using Norwich as standard is already an unforgiven sin.

Some points about the 3 openers:

  • You can’t keep using the “My best players are out” card. This highlights the gulp in quality between your main team and the backups. In which case, what’s the point of those backups?
  • Continuing from the previous point, how come so many players are missing out at the start of the season? This is massive red flag in itself.
  • Shocking defending for 3 straight league games. Players look unorganized from top to bottom. For a manager that seems so obsessed on analysis and review, you can’t see much of a change game to game
