Lineups have been a lot better lately, I have to give him credit for that. Good job, keep learning boss.
I agree about the line ups, however he shouldn’t be learning with us…
My fucking coach
He’ll make you look a fool again man…
I am loling how you keep bringing elec down constantly on Arteta and in the rona thread
Tell 'em Shamo Tell 'em
I just want to keep him grounded. I know how he gets.
You are like our Big Daddy Shamo. You gotta luv it.
Granted going one down 90 seconds in wasn’t it but what exactly was the game plan here today? Pathetic so far.
I think the game plan was go out and try not to concede.
When we conceded Arteta demonstrated his tactical acumen in recognising that there needed to be a change of approach, so he enacted Plan B: try not to concede a second time.
Its called football management, look it up sweaty.
I don’t feckin care how good City are, we have been dominated at home, they have just toyed with us…AT HOME…
Joke of a fecking manager has to go…
Lost more than we have won now. Leicester away next.
Where just accumulating losses and not blinking or moving an inch on the table. Mediocrity personified.
There is absolutely no noise about him leaving, nothing at all. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is still here next year tbh, the club seem to be keen to give him plenty of time.
I’m not adverse to that per se but it’s hard to know what development they are seeing…
Maybe losing 0-1 to City is a development
A loss to City in a vacuum isn’t a bad thing. It’s how we lost which is the indictment on Arteta. They tried hard for the first 10 minutes of the match, scored a goal almost instantly and then played at half speed for 80 minutes… and we still never troubled them.
This is not about this result but having more defeats than wins at this stage of the season should not be acceptable for a big club. We just keep lowering the bar year after year and no European football next year will be the new low I fear.
Arteta has no excuses. We can lose to City but some of the other results are just not good enough. The performances have looked patchy at best after more than a year of his philosophy and style. I know you sometimes have to take a step back in order to move forward but with him, we seem to have stagnated. 10th in the table is our level under him.
For me he has to go at the end of the season but I know it won’t happen.
Alex nailed it, city where in 3rd gear for 80 minutes of that game, Pep did his boy a favour. Saying City are the best team in the league isn’t an excuse, because bar the West Brom game and the first half against Leeds and Wolves, we’ve played even worse against the worst teams in the league. If Leeds win their game in hand we will be 11th and all the teams ahead of us have games in hand (some have 2). Were a mid table team now
“Project”
Very soon the contributions of Saka, ESR and Tierney will not be enough it’s already started to become glaring.
He was bailed out by their emergence but that well will run dry by end of the season, we were spamming crosses from the left all game. Our right flank may as well have been shut down for maintenance.
