As bad as Arteta is, surely most of the blame should lay with those who hired him.
You don’t find the least experienced mechanics to restore a highly prized classic car. I am baffled that the board picked a manager who has never managed a club at any level to drag one of the biggest clubs in the world out of a crisis.
That being said. Arteta is truly awful, no man management skills and a huge ego. I don’t see the makings of a great manager anywhere in there, he’s lucky as hell to have been associated with Pep as thats the only thing he’s got going for him.

Yep - this team you could argue isn’t in the top 6 in terms of squad quality (I would say it is 5th or 6th at worst tbf), but no way this is excusable results… .and yes, times are extraordinary, but he had the end of last season and a (punctuated) preseason as well as a bunch of games.
We look worse now than when he took over and have somehow now turned our best attacking players into nothings.
Big issue is he doesn’t realise how stupid he sounds coming out these this stuff. Why are you crediting speculative crosses as an effective attack?

So weird to think the remnants of Wenger’s last squad should of gotten top 4 if not for Emery bottling the league and we couldn’t stand those guys. New faces and we look worse than ever.

I was told that he was such a great man manager back in the summer when he alienated a 21 year old kid and sent him on loan and then when he got rid of that cancer that is Mesut, WHAT COURAGE!! He’s built an elite culture just what this club needed. Surely the results will come now that we’ve got the culture thing all fixed up by Arteta who is such an amaze fantastic man manager!!

We strongly dominated possession, had a lot more touches in their box, put in 33 crossed, had moe shots but never remotely looked like scoring or forced Lloris into making a good save.
Our strikers were horrendous again. Hiding behind opposition defenders all the time with Auba looking like a small shadow of himself before signing his new deal.
