Super Mik Arteta

Sorry to burst your bubble. But we did get raped.

Sorry meant Wolves (West Ham killed them)

Needs to find a way to get more attempts on goal, we’ve improved off the ball which is great, but 30 attempts on goal over 4 games if it continues will see us go on a very barren run of results sooner or later.

They weren’t even in second gear and they put us to the sword. Come on. Even West Ham out played us.

Would like to see people point to other teams getting dicked when they were two one down until as late as the 88th minute or whatever it was and legit had the chances to have equalised before that point.

They totally out played us and on a different day it could/would have resulted in a dicking, but it didn’t, there was one goal in it until injury time when they secured a two goal winning margin.

They didn’t give us a dicking.

I’m also gonna stop using the phrase “dicking” now cos it’s appeared too many times for one post.

I saw Leeds and Villa give a much better showing against Liverpool than we did and by that (admittedly whack) measuring stick I completely understand why we have some disgruntled Gooners who are concerned.

Playing Liverpool and expecting to be second best is something I can live with - but being absolutely slaughtered in that manner to only have the narrow scoreline to take away as the sole positive also bothered me tbh.

I don’t disagree, I was not pleased with our performance at Anfield and think it was fine for people to have been critical of it and unhappy, I didn’t agree with those on here who censured people for expressing that opinion. I just draw the line at describing it as if we got battered, because despite them outperforming us by a long way, we were still in the match til very late on.

If you’ve actually been battered there’s no way you’d be in with a shout of securing a draw after almost ninety minutes. It’s just about applying a little nuance and expressing your dissatisfaction (not you personally ofc) without acting like we experienced the same thing Man U and Liverpool did yesterday lol

Yeah I totally get your point too mate. I know for a fact I didn’t feel half as shit on Tuesday morning as a vast pocket of the North West do this morning. Hehehe.

This shows how far our expectation levels have fallen.

Losing and playing well is frustrating but it happens and it’s ok because you can take something from the game.

Losing, and deserving to lose but trying to put a spin on it, to make it ok, is what leads to complacency and an acceptance of failure.

This loser mentality is becoming more common with our supporters and it’s this lowering of the expectation levels that our board are happy with.

Same as before for me. CL Qualification. Bag a trophy for bonus as trophies make us happy.

Whoever we sign, if Mikel gets us in the top four, then that is a FANTASTIC achievement…I would be amazed if we do that…
