use to joke about buying him, absolute unit and absolute speed freak, if we could teach him to control his momentum a bit he would be great for us. Then ofc he’d be expensive as hell and we got Pepe anyway, but I love watching him just accelerate lol
No issue with any of this… but he needs to get us playing better f*ing football… it has been awful.
And yes, we need better players, but we have enough talent to muster more than the dire Spurs, AV, LC, Watford performances… and really, while hugely impressed on one hand with Pool and City results, we were riding our luck big time.
His muscle gain has been suspect though no, wasn’t it over a year or something?
It’s very hard for footballers to change their physique so drastically. It’s not like they have a considerate period where they can have an off-season and beef up.
He just got older, and continued to grow. He’s got amazing genetics and I shudder to think how spectacular he would look if he ever decided to become a bodybuilder. But there’s nothing unnatural about his growth. Check out guys like Keone Pearson, he turned pro as a bodybuilder natural and he’s only in his mid 20s himself.
But he’s far from an obvious PED suspect.
@Castiel I’ve always thought doping was rife in football but I genuinely think he’s a natural kid.
Wouldn’t be performance-enhancing drugs then would they? I believe you’re talking about how bigger muscles make it harder for you to move and especially breathe. Although, I’m pretty sure I heard of PEDs that increase oxygen availability to the muscles.
What did Lance Armstrong take?
When people cycle earlier in their life then keep on training does the muscle mass stay? I’ve heard that a lot of “natty” youtube fitness gurus done it years ago and are now natural. So in their mind, and more importantly for their brand they are natural weight lifters.
Personally I feel that’s a bit of a con as building the foundation is the hardest part of getting in shape.
I’ve also heard the counter argument that obviously by training natty if you’re injured you can get back to your best quicker because the muscle was built right, is this also true or false in your opinion?
Most of these natty YouTube guys aren’t natural at all. They’re just signed by companies where it’s taboo to talk about being on steroids (which is strange because they’re so common).
And a lot of them are on HRT and for some reason some people believe being on a low dosage of test all year round still makes them natural lol.
But when you come off of steroids, you’ll always lose size it’s an inevitability because of the function of steroids and their importance in promoting muscle growth, recovery, aiding how your body utilises the nutrients you eat.
But yeah, you can definitely cycle and gain size and come off and maintain good size.
It’s only been in the last few years I’ve really began to understand how much of an integral part steroids play when building a physique. I do think in the long run though I’d rather consistently run and lift and see lesser gains than risking the cycle. It’s mad when you see an actor huge for a role then a few months later he’s like half the size. But yeh like Hollywood the YouTube fitness scene is awful for young men or women looking to begin training.
