You’re really FOGGING things up Mikel.
The amount of pressure he should actually be on vs what he will be on will be exponentially different.
He can give all the big talk he wants it’s crystal clear the squad needs a refresh and he is extremely replaceable at this stage.
Would like to see 3/4 more fresh faces this summer in addition to Zubimendi. A lot of these players need a spark from the squad quality rising to be fully motivated again.
If he’s going to be around it can’t be an iterative improvement in squad it has to be substantial in several key areas. Even a future top CB to plan for Saliba’s exit would be good.

Maybe the last couple months have softened me with this club’s poor showing but at least we’ve come to Anfield and taken the game to them. It’s absolutely crap of course to come undone like we have but it’s by no means the performances of a few years ago where we’d chase shadows and take home 4/5 goal losses.
With all the obvious changes we know we need this summer, this game could and would be very different. Too much neglect in recent windows, we can’t hide this summer.

Stop obsessing over GK’s and sort out our attack.
When a midfielder like Havertz is your best striker then there is something seriously wrong, especially when another midfielder like Merino comes along and looks superior.
Our striking options of Havertz, Trossard, Jesus and Merino are mid table level and we really shouldn’t have gone into this season with so many limited attacking players.
But a couple of decent signings and we can give Saka the support upfront he deserves and relegate these mediocre players to the bench where they belong.
