Super Mik Arteta

Since Arteta has been here, he might have overpaid for some players but his transfer business has been good when buying DM’s, GK’s, CB’s and FB’s but the attacking signings have been poor.

He paid around 140m for Havertz, Trossard, Jesus and also got Sterling on loan and none of them have been anything more than adequate and certainly not consistent so he really needs to get the signings of a LW and striker right.

Also the rumours about Watkins makes him look reactive rather than having a plan so could this be something to do with Edu not being here?

Iraola.

100%

Has to be Iralola for sure. Has played a blinder this Jan.

It has to be Iraola.
Despite loads of injuries they drew away at Chelsea and thrashed in form Newcastle and Forest.

Narrator: He was wrong.

Fun fact, this game broke the record for our longest undefeated run in the PL under Arteta.

With Nwaneri and MLS looking like genuine first team players, perhaps the injuries did us a favour because Arteta had to give them games earlier than he would have liked.

With average young players around Europe being valued at more than 50m, both of them are worth way more.

I was surprised at that stat, didn’t we win pretty much every game in the 2nd half of last season bar the Villa one?

Yeah, I was shocked to find that out as well.

Arteta and Pep tonight post match…

Prime City goal

This was always going to be a hard game.

But why, why can’t we carry any momentum this season brother. If 5-1 against City doesn’t deliver the energy. What will?

One answer. St James Park. Our players can’t handle that intensity. Embarrassing really.
