Super Mik Arteta

Let’s be honest, though. Neither could we.

United was the only game we won in like a run of 10. It was worse than an Emery run.

Had there been fans in the stadium, it’s very likely Arteta would have been sacked. (That Chelsea game on Boxing Day 2020 was huge).

Don’t tarnish us all :slightly_smiling_face:

The Everton loss threw a bit of doubt for the first time but he immediately recovered.

It was always the squad, just thank fuck the kroenkes recognised it as well.

Let’s calm down with the dynasty talk. We’ll see how this season goes. I would even hold off until we see what reinforcements will be brought in during the summer.

We are in a great place right now and the media and pundits are largely positive about us but Mikel knows he’s got to win something big now. The FA Cup was a long time back and not what elite managers measure their success by. This is probably as big a challenge as he has faced in his managerial career so far. I think he can make the next step.

Next step, for me, is integrating players from our youth academy in first team.

Too early to be using phrases like ‘dynasty’, he needs to win something of note first and do it repeatedly.

But he’s heading in the right direction, we need that Premier League and I’m certain we’ll get 1 within the next 3 years and hopefully a UCL within the next 5.

Klopp got 1 each at Liverpool in 9 years… so Arteta shouldn’t be judged too harshly for not winning majors at this stage.

You know, there are always some overreacting dumbs (I was one), and talk shit about this “dynasty” at this stage.
Just embarrassing.

Massive game against Villa now.

Will go with:
Trossard-Jesus-Saka
Rice-Partey-Odegaard
Kiwior-Gabriel-Saliba-Tomiyasu
Raya

Am with that with the exception of Martinelli for Saka, who still doesn’t quite look right.

Came across this clip of Arteta. Absolute Gold

Think he’s got it in him to be the next Pep / SAL / Wenger tbh. If it weren’t for City’s dominance, he’d already have 1 championship to his managerial career.

Replacing Stuivenberg maybe?

I think he will take San Lorenzo job.

Wouldn’t mind him at all. This is just based on aesthetics I have no idea how good a coach he is.

Is he going?

Arteta made some very strange subs tonight and bottled an important game.

Hope we are sharper and more motivated for the Bayern game

This loss is fully on Arteta imho. Jesus and Zinny has no business starting games for Arsenal, we have better quality right now than them.

Got the line up wrong, made substitutions too late.

At the end of the day, the ‘bottling mentality’ comes from the top, so he has to take some responsibility here.

He’s a great coach and definitely the right person to take us forward, but I don’t think he’s at that Elite level yet.

Can’t say that he hasn’t been backed either. Owners have given him plenty of money and 4+ years to build something.

This summer has to be the one where we address the fragilities in the squad and gut the rest who aren’t up to snuff.
