Summer 2016 Transfers Thread

Weeey it’s not only us who’s used as a bargaining chip, even the best get passed around like a new born baby, after being strongly linked with Luciano Vietto and on the brink of signing Kevin Gameiro last night, Barca look like they’ve lost out on both after Atleti offered Sevilla cash plus Vietto as part of the deal.

Really hope it’s true it’ll be a great move all round, Vietto’s at the stage in his career where he needs to be playing week in week out & Gameiro gets to compete for trophies while still being in and around the first team, good stuff.

Juve have had an €18m bid for 40% of Gabriel Barbosa accepted by Santos, they’ll now negotiate with Barbosa’s father and Doyen Sports for the remaining 60%.

The agent of Gabriel Jesus also confirmed the reports of them being close to Man City.

Can PL clubs pull such a deal?

Why couldn’t they?

I think Trion is referring to the third party ownership aspect which isnt allowed under PL rules but Juve are seemingly trying to buy that too so no reason a PL club couldn’t do that.

Why?

Messi Suarez Neymar

Vietto Gameiro

If Vietto will accept to be the 5th striker into a squad who have the best trio of the World and to be behind a very good striker like Gameiro, he will ruin his career with his hands.

Yup. So if PL clubs can satisfy the rule by buying all the rights, why are we not seeing many such transfers?
Think only Mascherano & Tevez transfer were of such nature.

Those players would much rather end up in Spain/South-Europe?

Ummm, These guys are willing to go to China.
With PL wages, albeit negotiation would be hard but South American talents man…They are the real deal.

Except for Alex Texeira most of those are mediocre players or players who have there best years behind them though. Those wages are massive in China btw. It’s rumoured Hulk was going to get 20 million euros per year.

There are also the work permit issues offcourse.

Sigh, Work Permit have really deprived PL of many good talents.

good buy for stoke!

Weird sale by Liverpool.
He is only 26, not a bad player & could remain as reliable squad player.
It’s not like they have excellent midfield to begin with.

Still can’t get over that last min goal he scored against us last season. That match would have gone down as one of our best away wins if not for that goal ffs

@Cristo

Interesting! Thought he’d go somewhere bigger

You reckon Fischer is going to do well at Middlesbrough?

Tough to say. He had some really good periods with Ajax but it seems like injuries really fucked him.

He has a lot of raw talent though and if he can get his head down I think he could do really well in the premier league. I think he has a very high ceiling but he’ll need time to settle in. I’m not too optimistic.

Højbjerg at Southampton will be someone to keep an eye on as well.
