Stephan Lichtsteiner

All these players have been remembered so clearly none of them are the correct answer

Imagine forgetting Kim Kallstrom. Absolutely vital contribution, are you even.an Arsenal fan?

I think the most forgettable Arsenal player is Manuel Almunia, the shit, talentless brain-dead cunt that was first choice goalkeeper in 3 consecutive seasons for one of the best teams in the world :xhaka:

No wait, that’s the one I most want to forget.

Beaten at his near post at 1-0 up in the Champions League Final, down to ten men against Barcelona with less than 15 minutes to go. Nobodies forgetting that shit.

Santos was a similar signing.
Rather than go for a proper player we went the cheap route.
He was free, old and had never played in the PL, what did we expect?
You get what you pay for.

top class professional won pretty much everything at Juventus, just Arsenal got him when he was past his best. He looked out of his depth in the Premier League, seemed like a good influence in the dressing room but on the field he was a horror show. Had the odd good game but you could tell by mid way through Emery lost faith in him. Still do a Job for a team not challenging for titles or top 4.

He was also beaten by that Ronaldo freekick from more than 40m in the Champions League semi-final. That was such an easy stop, I don’t understand how he could miss that. (https://youtu.be/S1ap5-iR-wc?t=76)

He was only 28 and wasn’t free, but aside from that I don’t disagree! Awful signing.

Actually, I do. I was in the ground that evening, and I cannot describe to you how fast that ball moved. From ground level especially it was virtually impossible to see it in time. He was shit, but he’s not the only keeper that free kick would have beaten.

A good quality goalkeeper stops that. That’s poor goalkeeping no matter how anybody spins it if you ask me.

Well, I have more sympathy with him on that one than some of his other fuck ups. It was a fantastic hit by Ronaldo. However, I’m not, and nor would I assume anyone else is, arguing Almunia was a good quality goalkeeper

Seems odd to bump this topic but a prime version of this guy is exactly what our defence is lacking right now.

Such a shame we got the aged version of him who might go down as one of the most useless signings in recent history.

Just when you think the options are low you remember this prick.

I kind of fancy doing this in retirement myself.

On Garmins no doubt.

Fuck no. Mechanisms I can work with, code can get fucked.
