Part of me says Ange will have the Newcastle drubbing and how we wiped the floor with Chelsea in mind and play different tactics akin to Porto/Bayern.
The other part knows he’s got a philosophy and will stick with the high line no matter what. His logic would be if they get beat it won’t be because he’s compromised on his principals.
Either way it will be obvious from the first few minutes of the game.
Would be a big heel turn for a guy who went large on never deviating from his principles, especially at home.

Let’s say he does compromise on his principles and gets flatlined by us. I think the outlook of a large portion of the spuds fanbase would sour on him.
Thus far they’ve been pretty optimistic but a couple of unflattering losses, especially to us, might turn that positivity to toxicity.

How is it even a conversation. Partey all day every day in this kind of form. Rice looks even more menacing with the insurance policy of Partey alongside him. Jorginho has been brilliant this season but Partey when fit and at his best is still the more complete 6. Especially against Spurs counter we need both Rice and Partey dominating.

Well yesterday was Partey’s second start in 8 months so I’m not sure what form he’s in? He had a couple of crap cameos, couple of okay ones and a largely good game yesterday. I love the guy as much as anyone but there’s still an element of control Jorginho can bring above Partey.
It’s all down to whether we think we can utterly dominate the possession and use Jorginho to pin them back or whether we need the extra athleticism of Partey for when they break. I think it’ll be the latter but wouldn’t be surprised if not.
I might be going off the vibes of last night. Midfield looked quality and been a long time we’ve had to wait to see that trio. Would like to see us start with the steel that midfield offers. If our defence is on it I think we can shut Spurs out completely and it’s our game from there.

This guy went toe to toe vs Real Madrid in the champions league with Celtic. He’s not changing his philosophy for anyone.

Don’t gift them anything and I’m pretty confident we win this one.
We’re the best team in the league since January. They are not. Anything can happen but theres no reason i can see not to be positive.

We lost at home to West Ham, but I’d still fancy beating them.
We’re a better team than Spurs, and ergo favourites.

We are a much better team now than we were at the start of the season. On the other hand, I think they had their strongest period at that time, so I don’t think you should take that game as a big reference point.
We also basically gifted them both goals in that game… Even with all our faults we probably should have won that game.
To even go further… I think the difference in quality between us and them hasn’t been this big (at least not in our favour) in a long long time. Maybe for more than a decade.
I wouldn’t even rule out a pretty convincing win, although I’m not saying we will win this for sure.

I’m going to say 1-2 Arsenal but a score draw certainly wouldn’t shock me.
All in all though spurs give you a chance with some defensive lapses and with our quality it should be enough to see Arsenal edge it.

Ange ball bollocks is a media hype with little substance. Occasional swashbuckling football but recently more crap than my old woman knickers.
Possession with no purpose. A suicidal high line that every team will exploit, leaving you with huge space to tear us apart . The forward line offers nothing, insipid and fires only jaffas . Your pint sized Spanish conquesterdor will blow us apart .
Problems , Madison’s form has dropped off a cliff , as our only creative talent ,we are up the kyber.
We have no defensive midfielders to shield the back line .
Fullbacks offer little going forward, constantly caught out as they play inverted and stuck up in attack.
Son is not a striker and goes missing most games.
Wingers are piss poor , Werner couldn’t hit a barn door and Johnson is scared to take a man on , Kulu is so slow .
Angelos has no flexibility and pig headed .He won’t adapt to situations. A Levy fan boy grateful for his opportunity in a top league. It will go tits up by this time next year , unfortunately the Lilly white fan base are largely deluded and clutch at any small piece of hope . Levy has made the club rich for his own gain ,
has no intention of challenging but are next record signing will be a huge hotel. Infrastructure rules .
This will be a painful watch , l think this is are weakest team in a decade.
Only hope is Bob Hope . Maybe a miracle, the atmosphere may get the better as 2 years ago but highly unlikely.
