Spurs vs Arsenal (PL) 0-1

We are still beating these

Will just make the win better

Ethan and Salahuddin please

Raya
White Saliba Gabriel Calafiori
Partey
Timber Havertz
Saka Sterling Martinelli.

I’d just go full terrorist ball and play on the counter. Bet that we find it easy to create chances against their high line than Tottenham manage trying to break down our mid block.

Yeah I think we need to recognise we have lost our ability to press high up the pitch.

Hoping Mikel does the pragmatic thing and play these cunts on the counter. I’d drop Trossard into the Ƙdegaard position and use Martinelli’s pace on the left.

If City lost Rodri and De Bruyne, they would still go to Spurs expecting to win. We have to do the same thing. I believe we will still win - we haven’t got any other choice.

Beaten them twice on the bounce now at their shit hole. Let’s make it a triple.

Not looking forward to this at all.

I’m with @Gunnerpr, pure terrorist approach needed, and do whatever it takes to leave with nothing less than a point.

If we remain compact as we did during most of 2024, we should still win this game. It will be hard but it has to be done. This is a true test as to whether we have a ā€˜squad’ or not.

Spurs shouldn’t be able to best these 6 under any circumstances. We won’t be as lackadaisical at the back as we were last time, cause I can’t see us going 3-0 up within 35 mins.

FT: 2-0 Arsenal

1-0 victory with 5 CBs starting, 30% possession 1 shot on target coming from either Havertz or Sterling. Would be beautiful. Ideally we are repaid the rice card by being gifted a decision. Maximum salt for all our rivals.

Still hoping for a good result, but not expecting one anymore. Ode out, alongside Rice and Merino, is just too much.

Arteta will have to change the whole approach to the game, not just some small tacticsl tweaks. Rice and Ode are the two leaders of our press and intensity. We absolutely won’t be able to be as dominant as we wanted to.

I think we’ll use Trossard as a 9, considering Jesus isn’t ready to start. Havertz will have to play in the middle considering all the players missing, and Trossard is the only one left who played as 9 before and he’s done a good job most of the time.
Most likely Saka and Martinelli on the flanks.

I don’t have a clue who’s the third midfielder with Havertz and Partey/Jorginho. Could be Partey and Jorginho together, but never started like that before. Maybe Timber/Zinny.

Very worried.

If Ode is out for longer than 2 months I’d say we’re out of the title race. It’s over.

Maybe a deep cup run to save the season.

You worry too much, in our Invincible team we had plenty of top players out of a few games due to injury, including Vieira, Pires, Cole,Lauren and Bergkamp

It’s not over yet! If we come out of Spurs and City with at least 4 points, I’d say that’s a very good return giving our position.

Good lord

Not to be a doomer or pedantic but this isn’t the invincibles era. Today you could go invincible and still lose the league to City.

The margins are so slim and it already looks like there’s a wide gap between us and City. Mostly due to our own negligence in not bringing in upgrades on the players we let go.

This injury crisis has everyone theorizing on a makeshift lineup and tactics. When City had their injuries they didn’t sacrifice tactics. Foden and Alvarez slotted in neatly.

Anything’s possible but probability says we’re already out of the race.

Jesus wept it’s one player we had last year that’s injured, relax.

Odegaard being out any significant length would be a huge problem but if he misses the spurs game we can still beat them.

And let’s be honest, Odegaard has started the season poorly anyway.
I would’ve been more worried had Saka, Havertz or Raya were injured as they are our most in-form players currently.

It’s not that deep really was just trying to unworry @Bl1nk

You new around here?

So I see we have Jarred Gillett as ref…2nd time in 4 games, nothing corrupt and nothing to see here…

Reminder, he thought this was acceptable:

probably it is difficult for them to find rigged refs these days…

and 3 games after it could be Chris Kavanagh again.
