Spurs vs Arsenal (PL) 0-1

If he is it could solve our midfield problem, with Havertz moving there.

I don’t think he’ll even be on the bench.

Kai starts as striker.
Second half Jesus come on, and Kai moves to midfield.

Or Jesus starts as striker and Kai starts as L8, then Kai move up as striker and Jorgi sub as midfield in second half.

I’m not saying that’s the wrong strategy, only that I don’t think Mikel will do it.

So, no Rice, Merino and Odegaard vs Spurs :sob:

no calafiori either…no midfield and down on defenders, but we will still beat them.

What’s wrong with Rice?

Erm, ask Kavanagh

If Odegaard is out…

Havertz - Partey - Jorginho?

Football terrorism in its finest form.

Same thoughts

Zinchenko is the only player we have who can play the role Odegaard has in terms of creativity & passing. Not sure about the pressing.

That said, Arteta should have played him there during the pre-season.

I thought he looked really sharp during preseason and in the first game of the season against Wolves.

I just don’t want us to go all passive with our approach.

Timber could do a job in that no.8 role. A bit less flamboyant but looks for progressive passes and is tidy in tight spaces. Trossard maybe? Nwaneri isn’t that far away from being ready from what I’ve seen. Imagine if he did start and tore Spurs’ defence a new one. Maybe next year.

Personally think we’ll go with Sterling up top and Havertz/Partey in the attacking spots, Jorge at the base of midfield. Jesus should be fit enough for the bench at least.

Tbf, people are already coming up with potential options which highlights our depth.
We’ve got a lot of very good and versatile players in the team, hungry for an opportunity.
You’d like to think the club didn’t let both Fabio and Emile go without trusting that we’ve got enough cover in case Odegaard gets injured.

Partey-Havertz-Nwaneri in midfield for me, Jesus up top flanked by Saka and Martinelli.

We can absolutely still win this.
