Havertz is very hot and cold as a midfielder but he does carry goal threat. Odegaard will help with pressing and ball retention but I don’t think that’s what is needed tonight.

Yeah this has to be the team. And hopefully the return of key players means an instant improvement in team performance.

We have seen this team repeatedly respond to adversity this season.
A draw is fine but I believe we can win here. Sporting are a good team but we should not be fearful. They got bullied and slapped by Bobo Gimp a few weeks ago.
We were considered favourites for the competition a short while back. It seems that doubt has started to really grip the fanbase.
We have absolute clarity on our season now. No more thinking about the game after. The game in front of us is the most important.

Considering Saka’s form, I am bit delighted that Arteta’s hand will be forced to play Madueke & Downman in a game where we should be fine without Saka

Sporting are unbeaten in 23 home games this season or so I heard.. but I don’t care.
If this team and manager have any self-respect left, they better start going on a mad winning run till season’s end, starting from tonight.
A win tonight would be great, but I’ll gladly take a draw back to the carpet.

This game is more a don’t lose than a must win - Saturday’s match is a MUST win and I do not like 12:30 games (possibly just in my head but I never feel like we fare well in those early Saturday kick-offs)

We should win. Our style seems to fare better against European teams and we’ve beaten much better teams in the CL already. Going for a 2-0 win, followed by 3/4-0 at home.
