Sporting vs Arsenal (CL) 0-1

The fact that we were worried about Everton at home and now Bournemouth at home is so concerning haha. Should be wins all day for title winners.

If we draw I will be calm, bring them to the carpet and give them a spanking hopefully.

The way I see it and this may be an unpopular position but I’d sacrifice the CL this season to win the league.

If we don’t win at home against Bournemouth I will totally lose my shit.

Fascinating fact, this is our longest winless streak this season.
We’ve never gone two games without winning across all competitions this season until now.
How have we even pulled that I don’t know.

In previous seasons we did have a knack of going on 3-4 game winless streaks once we slipped once. And it usually cost us.

It’s a fantastic season in so many aspects.

Yet it feels underwhelming at times, for me mainly because we don’t look convincing and have been grinding lots of results.

I see a Gyok double here

They’re 5/5 at home in the CL including a win vs PSG. Scored a truckload and barely conceded.

This will be tough. A draw is fine.

Worrying about both Saka and Timber. Arteta did say they could be contention for Bournemouth if this week goes well.

I’m still convinced they’re being given a rest, rather than them being injured. Mosquera and Madueke to take their places tomorrow night.

I look out of the window, heavy overcast, a wind with teeth coming off the prairie, snow in the forecast. If I want doomscrolling I’ll revert to Facebook. I need some cheer, positivity. Are you listening Mikel? Good. Give us a 3-1 win tomorrow, then. Gracias.

Fuck. That’s a bit of a blow. Was counting on Timber.

I’ll take a 1st leg draw if it means we have Saka and Timber rested and back in form for the run-in.

So, we thinking Mosquera at right-back with Gabriel and Saliba starting in the middle, or will White get another start?

[formation=4-3-3]
Raya
White - Saliba - Gabriel - Calafiori
Odegaard - Zubimendi - Rice
Madueke - Gyokeres - Trossard

Can we fucking play like we want to win something this season? Does this team want to limp their way to the end of the season? All that hard work over the last 7 months will amount to nothing if we keep putting in diabolical performances in this month.

We have a few absentees but that shouldn’t be an excuse with our squad depth. Mikel also needs to tweak his tactics and be more on the front foot. I am not confident we can sit on a 1 goal lead away from home anymore so we have to be more positive and take some risks.

Need a positive result here or the wheels will certainly start wobbling.

Am I missing something?
Won’t this be our second game in April?

Right you are. But that one diabolical performance followed the Carabao Cup final performance, so the trend is there.

Not expecting a win. A draw is fine. Win our next two home games and I’ll gain back some belief. A bad performance and/or result tonight would be devastating.

What I want to see:

Raya
Mosquera
Saliba
Gabby
Calafiori
Zubi
Rice
Havertz
Noni
Gyokeres
Martinelli

Blue kit tonight. Rest those red shirts so that they can recharge their positive energy.

Don’t want Havertz in midfield. Would prefer Odegaard.
