Sokratis Papastathopoulos

Never heard of this guy but he appears to be some kind of Italian journalist.

Thus reliable.

Now they just have to pay us no money and deal done.

Well at least we are looking to get rid, confirmed by reliable sources.

That would be a great fee.

Ffs. From €8m, to €4.5m to ‘terminate contract, €0.’

That is what a transfer fee is, in essence.

Team A pays for the player to terminate the contract and be able to legally do a new deal (those things tied together obviously).

But i would tend to agree here that the implication is that Napoli isn’t wanting to pay for that part, or at least not pay much… we’ll see.

If Napoli want our player then they can pay, we’re not a charity case

No transfer fee.

Napoli sold Allan for 30m and are about to sell Koulibaly for 60m. So thats 90m. And we let our defender go to them for nothing

Hahahahah. What is going on? Why are we so shit?

Were we dangerously close to FFP? Why are we desperate to get rid of players who are still good for free?

Especially when the asking price reported was about £8m. I wonder if the agreement is him buying out his contract. It’s a joke.

We will get some money from this.

We’re so bad at selling players, and even worse at giving average players wages that they don’t deserve, and we end up stuck with them and making shitty deals to get rid of them.

Nothing will emit big dick energy in future transfer negotiations like having let players just leave the club for free for the lulz because we’re so confident in what we’re doing we don’t give a fuck.

5D chess move here by the club.

Things are moving along nicely.

I doubt this is true, they can’t be that inept surely.

The mistake is the buy… then you get stuck with a shit asset… people aren’t going to buy an aging defender who is meh who is on high wages… this is what happens.

We pay 18m for a CB and sell him two seasons later for nothing, to a club desperate for a defender.
Our motto is: buy big, sell small.
It’s the Arsenal way. :grinning:

They’ve bought Victor Osimhen for €70 + 10 million earlier this summer.

Greek media now reporting that Sokratis is very close to deal with Napoli.
Al-Shabaab have also offered him a massive 3 year contract worth €11.5m and a significant undisclosed signing fee.
