Said on the radio he’s taking some time out until the summer now
Let’s be honest, if they are sad for that, so are we.
Only have to look at how much we loved Wilshere leading a “what do you think of Tottenham?” Chant after one of those FA Cup wins. Or Ozil on twitter mugging off Spurs. Many such cases.
Well, I’ve yet to see us announce a player by having him delete his tweets supporting a rival.
Now that’s sad.
Some Youtuber said Spurs have an identity issue and I so relate to that notion.
Whenever some calls Spurs a big team, I immediately think “are they really?”
Tottenham have achieved nothing in my lifetime of watching PL. They have always been laughed at. Apart from 3 or so Rednapp/Pochentino, they seem to have always been in crisis.
They get an occasional big talent in Berbatov, Bale, Modric but for most parts they are represented by some really average talents.
Think they are only “big club” by virtue of being a London club and having not been relegated in last 40-50 years
Never been a big club, they’ve been assisted by marketing “Top 6” and all this other malarkey surrounding it.
What’s Tim Sherwood up to these days? In the frame for this? ![]()
I’d argue being Arsenal’s rivals have carried them into that conversation too.
Always baffles me when they get called a big team too.
They overachieved for a few seasons when they finished above us but in that time they still achieved absolutely nothing. I see it now that they’re back where they belong as a mid to lower table team.
Hmm, I don’t think so. No one thought highly of Spurs in a general sense. They had one ‘decent’ run (where they won nothing, remember our trophy drought NO ONE could shut up about? There’s levels to this) including one title challenge and the marketing machine propelled them to a status they never justified.
When I started they were just some upper mid-table club that let people down. Couldn’t break the top 4 ceiling gatekept by Arsenal, United, Chelsea, Liverpool. Then Gareth Bale happened.
Roy Keane?!
Robbie
As funny as it would be for Roy Keane to end up manager, he’s also the last person I want to take charge right before the derby.

He’s in the Arsenal supporting ex spurs manager club, along with Graham, Redknapp and newest member Frank. ![]()
I think Spurs will wait to the summer to get a higher profile manager, aka Pochettino. I have a sneaking suspicion that they’ll end up with Redknapp as a short term manager to save them from the drop.
Can you imagine if we won the PL, or better (I’m not saying the D, T, or Q words), and Spurs got relegated this season! Could life get any better?
Redknapp would be an insane move. 78 years old and out of the game for the guts of a decade.
Only Roy Hodgson takes jobs as an old man.
