They’re not happy with Ange

He won’t make it there

Their next two home games are against Chelsea and Liverpool, which they’re unlikely to win so he’ll be under a lot of pressure and spurs will be nearer the relegation clubs than the top four places.

But he said he always wins a trophy in his second season so their poor league form is probably because he’s saving his players for the League Cup and FA Cup. :grinning:

The downfall of Spurs’ managers is so predictable. The love in lasts about 12 months, and then the inevitable backlash begins.

Maybe he should just jump ship to west ham.

Udogie slander amongst spurs fans is through the roof, diabolical performance one after the after from him this season. Not heard a peep about him from the media though when they were saying he was one of the best defenders in the league last season.

I’ve seen enough from Udogie to know that he’s a decent LB. I just think he’s being coached terribly.

I watched the game against Bournemouth and spurs were useless. .
They didn’t look motivated and should’ve been thrashed so if they lose to Chelsea the home crowd might start getting impatient with Ange, as well as the players.

All fun to laugh at these shitheads but the media really are scumbags with their headlines

Yes let’s make it sound like he doesn’t give a fuck about the fans when he actually said:

They aren’t behind me, they are behind the club. I have got no interest in who is behind me.

Last night you have to figure the fans who travel to Bournemouth are fairly hardcore supporters. They weren’t happy with what they saw and they felt like they needed to give some feedback. I took the feedback onboard and we move on.

As I said last night, no messages. I am here, I am going to fight to make sure we bring success to this football club.

Yeah, however, he’s too old and experienced to be acting like a rookie with his words though

He’s made it easy for them

It’s not the first time he’s put his foot in his mouth either.

“I have got no interest in who is behind me.”

Headline saying Postecoglu says he doesn’t care if Spurs fans are behind him seems like a reasonable enough representation of what he said to me.

I mean, yeah, if you do exactly what the paper did and cut it down to one line lol

Cutting it down to one line is traditionally how headlines work, they’re not exactly designed to be nuanced and represent the totality of what is contained within an article.

It’s probably just how my brain works, I can be quite literal, but he said he doesn’t care about whether fans back him personally and the headline reflects that imo.

Sure, but you can decide what line you pick for that.

Reading the extra paragraphs, it can easily be read as him saying that the fans are there for the club rather than him and that he is worried about making sure the club is performing rather than being popular specifically.

After last season criticising spurs supporters celebrating losing to Man City to stop us winning the title, to this season saying he doesn’t care what they say, he’ll be going the same way as Pochettino, Mourinho, Conte and Nuno.
