Are the comments even so bad, I don’t see much wrong with a bit of this rather then some of the fake gentlemen approach some try and put up.
Players are getting tapped up left and right, was quite mild IMO.

There is a pre season Spurs love in going on. Listening to podcasts for example, like The Totally Football Show, they were doing their predictions and debating who would finish fourth. It had already been decided that City, Liverpool and Spurs were top 3

I personally have them finishing 3rd but I don’t think it’d be crazy for them to finish 2nd if Liverpool have a bit of a poor run similar to the season before last.
Spurs have enough quality, particularly up front, to rattle off a bunch of wins. I’m not confident us, Chelsea or United have that same capability currently.

Someone has been drowning in the cup of optimism lately.
Yeah every prediction I’ve seen has Spurs 3rd and it’s a toss up between Man Utd and Arsenal for 4th.
I think Chelsea are a mess but they’re being discounted as well.
Oh well, same predictions had us 7th last season, and after the first few matches some of them had us in a relegation battle.
Same people thought Chelsea was winning the league because of Lakaka.

Lol well I’d be betting on Liverpool if I was putting money down, I’m just saying it’s not crazy for Spurs to get 2nd in the right (or wrong) curcumstances.
You’d be banking on multiple bad injuries to key players. No matter their general form, Pool’s squad will get them top 2 regardless
The likelihood of that combined with Spuds outperforming Chelsea, United and us is minimal imo

As I’ve said, I have Spurs finishing 3rd but don’t think it’s crazy for them to get 2nd as they have a good manager, and a good squad with some key players that can help them rattle off wins.
A poor run of form, fixture congestion or injuries for Pool and Spurs are in the mix. I think they are better positioned than any of us, Chelsea and United to get 2nd.
Happy to be wrong about it and they get relegated.
