Ruben Neves

I expected him to be more ambitious. Dude has still years ahead of him and I thought he was waiting for that Barca move because he wanted to play at the top level.
To go from that to Saudi at 26 is some 180.

Perhaps all these baller athletic midfielders popping up the past year has damaged his worth a bit. Still, I think he would’ve found another top club if it wasn’t for Barca.

Definitely shady but ultimately it’s choice

Power of agents definitely needs to be curtailed but no doubt they’ll find some loopholes

I agree. Fully expected him to move to a bigger club this season. If not Barca, he could still walk into Spurs, Liverpool, Newcastle, Utd or a range of top European clubs. All these players earn a fortune anyway. You would think if you were in sport, you would want to win things during your career…unless you are Harry Kane that is…

his career is dead going to Saudi at his age, such a waste

Fucking Saudi clubs offering Boehly a way out. I hope the Saudi’s are smart and rinse Chelsea on the fees. Koulibaly is one of those signings that is hurting Chelsea each day he stays on their payroll.

We’ll never hear from him again.

Can’t go to Barcelona, so effectively retire in Saudi

55m for a three year deal lel.

No need for common sense or good negotiating when you’re that stinking rich, I suppose.

Not sure resale value is high on their agenda.

Glad neves is fucking off there though, felt he’s well overrated for ages and won’t have to hear shit about him for a year til he wants to come back.

I give him six months.

Crooky saying the new rule(that’s there to block Ruben’s loan move to Newcastle) passes then Arsenal will look to rekindle their interest in Neves.

Wouldn’t mind this to be honest. In fact, I reckon there’s a deal here that could see Partey going the other way.

I still think the rule passes but Saudi Upon Tyne do a loan with an obligation to purchase and that gets them around the rule.

Would we try to get Neves on a loan or permanent?

Hopefully neither

Would rather have him at the eight than Havertz.

Yeah if you’re happy with us having wasted 125m on the position instead of an actual good player.

Let’s not double down on the blunder.

It’s too late though. 65 for Havertz and 35 for Vieira and we’re still no closer to solving it. Unless an academy kid is going to seize the spot we need to buy there.

I quite fancy Nwaneri in that role if we’re hamstrung by FFP etc.

I’ve heard him mooted by a few accounts. Is he ready?
