You don’t see goals like that as frequently anymore.
It feels like the athleticism and strategy have definitely improved from that era but there’s a certain intangible magic that’s missing nowadays.

It used to be 1-2 players per team who had that extra flair about them and the rest were hard working grunts (a bit harsh I admit). Now most players have good technique and teams therefor play more tactically strict.
