I don’t think it was that pointless. Ramsey came on.
If we had another player who could stretch things up top while the rest of the team tried to hold on at 2-1 it would have made sense.
But we don’t have that player available right now. Auba would typically be that guy off the bench, but he was sacrificed for a defender and Welbeck is hurt. Not sure Eddie is that type of runner either.
