Pisses me off how most of his assists in there didn’t result in goals.
I count/see an assist for Bergkamp that he shoots wide v Sheff Wed (0-1 defeat), a set up for Overmars that he fumbles v Liverpool (0-0 draw) and peach of a cross for Anelka that he blazes over v Manchester United in the cup semi final replay. The difference is a couple of trophies. For all the impressive defensive accumen we had that season (17 goals let in in the PL), we were hapless up front.
All that said, lovely seeing a surprisingly versatile Parlour in full flow. Let’s just forget about that season, though

As much as I would absolutely fucking love to meet Ray out somewhere, I think doing a [insert beer here] bomb with him would render the rest of my life completely meaningless.
We need something to look forward to, after all. I would think that I’ve achieved all I need to by that point and then go to Switzerland to be euthanised, or go to Pamplona and throw myself in front of a bull and get skewered. I’d go somewhere pretty at least, you know
