Raul Sanllehi (sacked)

This’ll take a moment to settle in. This feels pretty huge.

We really are an absolute circus of a football club :joy:

We get rid of basically the whole scouting department and shortly after sack the one guy left who apparently was leading our transfer dealings. What a terrible mess.

Will have to see what more comes out but its also a bit of a stain on the club too, not pretty. Can we please sort our fucking act out, Jesus Christ.

That would be insane. I still think it’s more to do with him doing favors for his friends while collecting a nice salary from Arsenal and maybe accepting “gifts” from Kia on the backend.

Yeah, could we not have done this before sacking all our scouts ffs?

That’s football though in a nutshell. Always has been really. Like most crime its about not getting caught.

Idk Shammy. Maybe they offered him a chance to go quietly with an “amicable” parting of the ways and he took it. The alternative might have been uglier and more litigious. Not that firing your DoF while the window is open isn’t an ugly look period.

Does Edu have the experience to carry us where we need to go in the transfer market? Aouar is a good start but can he get the deal done.

I think it’s a combination of things. I think he pulled the club into some shady business with the Pepe deal. If he did, I think he took some cash home himself. Also, Kia’s comments certainly didn’t sit well either.

That’s my biggest worry. Even if they have someone lined up, given the short summer break, is there enough time for the replacement to come in, sync with Edu, Vinai and Arteta and the owners, and start implementing his ideas. This is a crucial summer for the club. We just have to get this transfer window right if we want to finish top 4 next season. Another season of EL will be disastrous.

Mate I’m not sure how you think those statements in anyway run in parallel

We’ve literally shipped off everyone with any expertise in player recruitment.

To me it’s almost like Kroenke has decided, fuck Sanllehi spending my money and even trying to get back in the CL. It’s better business to be a selling club.

Or Edu and Arteta will make the calls and Fahmy will handle the business details.

Just because Vinai is now ‘lone’ CEO/managing director it doesn’t mean he will interfere with football matters. He can still leave that to Edu/Arteta.

This makes me feel slightly better. Edu and Vinai have basically backstabbed Sanllehi out of his role by the sounds of it.

The truth generally outs in things like this and legal battles could come one way or another. Don’t see why they’d give him a platform, and indeed praise from those remaining on the way out if something seriously funny had gone on.

@BigWeng_4LYFE Big Weng to come back as CEO to bring us back to the top :bergkamp2:

Man I really miss that giroud jizzing face emoji

Did Raul take 5mil from the Pepe deal?

I’m gonna say with like 99% certainty, no.

I think he was just an incompetent fool.

I just hope we don’t go back to missing out on 90 percent of talent because we’re scared to deal with super-agents.

Who said they run in parallel? I’m capable of holding two conflicting ideas or feelings at once. I can be happy Raul is gone but also have questions about how we fix our structure.

He won’t have taken money directly himself, no. But he could have paid agents money on the agreement they paid him a solicitation service fee back.

And if he did that with Pepe, he will have done it with Luiz, Soares and Willian.

Yep, Ownership looked into his work and there was no evidence of “outsmarting” the market and made a change. Sensible move

My concern at the start was would KSE know when to remove senior executives performing poorly in their role? They’ve shown real nous removing Raul
