I tend to agree on the jersey thing even if a lot of clubs auction them off for charity. They could just as easily donate money without the fuss.
This particular player has previous and got dragged in USA soccer circles over her views. She had a little pity party interview for herself a few years ago but she’s entitled to her views, just not immune to consequences. Her position was very unpopular considering how outspoken the US women’s team is in favor of gay rights.
