Random football stuff

I think people base their x year team a lot on players who had a good euros / world cup in tournament years haha

I don’t know why they even make people do pointless lists like these. Neville and Carragher aren’t watching league football from overseas consistently so why bother getting them to make this. What else are they actually going to do other than remember some names from the Euros and maybe remember lots of people said Lewandowski was really good.

People involved in football are literally at work when the football is on. Neville ain’t commentating on Wolves Vs Everton and then rushing off to the toilet to stream Bologna Vs Juventus live.

Balotelli back in the national team.

What? How?

:man_shrugging:

He’s scored some goals apparently

Oi @Josh

Villa, Baggies, Blues, Wolves all winning today, on the same day.

I don’t think that’s happened since the Roman empire, has it?

Even earlier than that bro, since the dawn of time itself

Right off the bat, if you’re an adult negatively commenting on a child’s size or appearance on the Internet, stop it. You’re weird and it’s mean.

However, I have to question this parents logic

“Someone was mean about my sons weight on Facebook so I’m gonna upload the same pic to an even bigger, more public, wretched hive of scum and villainy”

How about you stop highlighting your sons weight issues on social media in order to harvest likes and retweets? It’s an unfortunate fact of life that many people are cunts and feel free to be their true selves online.

You should be able to share a post about your kids weight issues, but the simple reality is that we don’t live in that world, and it’s irresponsible to expose your kid to that unnecessarily. Give your kid support, love and appreciation irl, you don’t need to declare to the world you’ll always be his biggest fan, you’re his dad ffs, that’s just your job.

More generally, if I ever have kids I won’t be documenting their lives on social media. I might upload a baby pic or two, buy once they’re a little older and clearly identifiable, I won’t be sharing pics of them. I think that once they’re old enough they should be able to make a decision about their online presence and what they feel comfortable with, rather than having had me take that decision out of their hands by having already documented 15 years of their life online.

It’s one thing to maybe write about it, pointing out just how evil people behave. However posting a picture takes it to the next level and opens up for even more abuse and bullying, because (surprise!) people are even MORE evil online.

And now you’ve gone and made it even worse by putting it on an even bigger social platform.

Totally agree, I could conceive of doing similar one day, possibly, but it would not come with an accompanying photo or my kids name ffs.

I am critical of parents who allow their kids to get that big. They are supposed to keep a tab on the diet.
That kid is really too big and it will take him hard work to get in shape if at all he gets time from studies & prepping for the future.

Even if the kid hits puberty well and works his way back to shape, it is taking time & effort away from something else. If the kid prioritises other aspects of his life, he will retain the weight to his 30s.
Either way the kid is suffering in some form.

Man that Brazil team is

Both the full backs are piss poor, Coutinho and Fred in midfield? Raphina? :joy:

Yeah talk about a fall from grace for Brazilian football…

Far cry from the legendary teams of the past.

BBC News - Robinho: The fugitive from Italian justice who still has supporters in Brazil

Talking about a fall from grace in Brazilian football, this story is really fucked up,although I knew a bit about this for some reason what I found weird about the whole thing is that Robinho drives a Beetle
