Regardless if football is at a higher or lower level now, it’s definitely changed for the worse. You don’t really see individual skill expression like that anymore. Football is more a formula and ‘by the numbers’ than art and magic.

Well it’s a Leeds goal for a start and doing nothing for my journey into work.

Oh I don’t know, I’ve now watched countless videos of old inter players defeating Milan, when Milan were way better than they are now, but I can watch with appreciation because I still wish both teams had that level of player, the matches overall were way more exciting with more stars who could control a game completely.
Still makes me completely nostalgic for the better times even seeing my own team succumb to rivals, because right round the corner was a trophy, and the team was full of great players, just how it should be for you guys.

Benzema has had as many average seasons as he has good seasons.
To even be thinking about Henry comparisons is a disgrace. Another awful trend.
Also, Pirlo in that second team is a travesty.
Modric > Pirlo. And I don’t even rate Modric as highly as many do.
But aside from that I like the teams.
