I wonder how different 86 and 90 would’ve worked out if England didn’t have Peter Shilton in goal.
His mistakes against the argies and Germans proved costly in both. Pretty sure his shootout performance in the latter was terrible as well.
I’m from a latter generation but cant help but think we should’ve beaten Argentina in 86 (perhaps not west germany in '90). Really feel the hand of god goal robbed us
