Raheem Sterling

Do you buy that Maresca is the one that made the call?
He was using him just fine in preseason.
The pricks above decided to force him out to get his wages off the bill but it totally backfired.
Same shit they’ve been doing with others.

#1 requirement for the Chelsea job is to be a yes man.

Clearly not his call

Maresca is exactly the docile employee they were looking for, well, until shit inevitably hits the fan that is

It’s hilarious because Poch was the same exact way a year ago, a happy lap dog. Pretty positive he was asked about it and he was defending the board, denying any claims that he had no power.

A year into the job, he wanted to have more influence, he started speaking up during pressers too and they sent him packing despite a strong finish.

First winger who can take on a man for years.

Gosh, give the guy a red shirt…I keep seeing him in blue Chelsea shirt.

Maybe he can teach Marti a few things to make him more productive.

Don’t disrespect dog, ok?? :joy:

Not going to jump on the Sterling hype train just yet. Let’s see how he gets on. Am happy Martinelli has more competition though.

Love seeing him taking players on with that pace and confidence. We lack that actually.

Even Saka can be pretty quiet in that respect at times. Martinelli is just frantic and too unpredictable (mostly shit lately).
Trossard isn’t a big threat one on one out wide really, only dangerous in some more central pockets and in the box.

I really hope Arteta won’t be too hesitant and stubborn to use all the options he has on the flanks now.

Plus, seeing him on the right here, it’s really nice to know we finally have a decent cover for Saka.

Btw Sterling > Nico

I’ve warmed to the Home Kit after seeing it for a couple of weeks now. Think he looks good in it!

Damn, we lost him.

Sterling on loan could be a great deal.

But if he is the difference between us being runners up again or winning the title, then he’ll be the best bargain the PL has seen.

Imagine all those Chelsea supporters, that thanked us for taking him off their hands, having to watch him win trophies with us knowing their club are paying some of his wages. :grinning:

I just hope he plays like he has a point to prove to Chelsea and City…could be a great signing and maybe next summer he would be willing to stay as a squad player.

If he performs good enough for us to consider permanent, which means he is doing really good then.
Squad, starter… will be worth it.

To agree this loan, he must have talked to Arteta and realized what we need from him.
I think he will be key for us if stay healthy.

Hope Gabriel doesn’t land on him any time soon

If Gabriel did that again, Arteta should ship him to Saudi league immediately.

If Sterling performs well, Chelsea will be able to sell at a higher price ;).

Tbf to Saka though, the days where teams had 1-2 players on him are gone. He’s graduated to having 3-4 players around him now every time the ball gets near him.

Unfortunately, all that space that opens up on the other side is not being utilized properly.
