Raheem Sterling

This kit is so awful  Sterling in an Arsenal shirt and it has to be in this abomination.

Price I have to pay.

#30 seems more like it. Felt odd giving the #10 to a loanee.

It’s not the worst kit. The rounded edge design is trash though.

I think it looks ok from the front.

That awful adidas back template ruins it.

When did he lose the Velma butt?

Definitely would hit better on the away.

That response was supposed to be to @RockyMaivia

I am still wearing the jersey from last season.

The home was great, the yellowish radioactive was great.

Excited to see him play for Arsenal

I wonder if they’ll try to sign him permanently if the loan goes well.

He’d have to be really impressive. I think we’ll go for long-term targets next summer.

I suppose being homegrown could be a reason to sign him permanently. But his wage demands are a massive problem. He’d want to be amongst our highest earners.

Yeah, even if he takes some cut I think he would have to have an immense season to take him permanently.

Wonder if Chelsea would be open to another season long loan, with us covering more wages + a loan fee.

It’s unusual for us sign such an experienced attacking player whose been so successful at
another PL club but Sterling could be a great signing.

Arteta worked with him a lot at Man City and will know his strengths so obviously thinks he can make a difference here.

He will have something to prove after not doing much at Chelsea, who seem to get the worst out of good players, and after signing so many underperforming players from them, we have Jorginho, Havertz and Sterling who could win us the title.

Depends on how successful the move turns out imo.
I think a good stint here will also present new opportunities for him next summer.

I think they’d be open to it. They did the same with Lukaku so imagine they’d do the same with Sterling to keep as much of his wages off the book as possible

Depends on how well he does and if Maresca is still Chelsea boss next season. Any other coach comes in and I think they’ll want to keep Sterling.

The Pep / City mentality is ingrained into Sterling.

Working under a coach like Mikel must be like coming home.

The attitude and application in training is pretty much peerless, and hopefully working that hard again in a new “high-performance” environment will reignite his desire.

Yeah I’m really excited by this. He won’t reach his City prime but there is still bags of talent there.

I am backing him to be a real difference maker this season. 10g + 10a should be his target because I think he’ll push Martinelli down the pecking order and compete directly with Trossard.

Their manager next season might want to use him
