Sterling allegedly owes Chelsea millions for reasons I can’t quite grasp. Chelsea owe Sterling millions for the remainder of his contract.
In this situation, I’d be expecting lawyers from both sides to consider a “drop hands” offer where both parties walk away without financial compensation. This can be agreed within an hour if there’s willingness to settle on both sides.
Then it would depend on whether Sterling is happy to take a lower wage to join us.
