Raheem Sterling

Chelsea basically got themselves into the situation where they simply have to get rid of him.
Apparently no place in squad for him.

They want to sell him, but knowing nobody actually wants to buy someone like him on those wages they will probably be forced to loan him to us on almost any conditions we set by the end of the day.

:kroenke:

Done deal, here we go :sol:
If it’s not him, I wouldn’t mind Mudryk at this point too. They have to offload SOMEONE.

Raheem Sterling to Strasbourg for 30m euros in 3 hours.

Forgot a zero on that fee. Strasbourg will be desperate to get him in.

Can we sign him on a free after the window if they manage to find a termination deal?

Well I think this is dead. Hope he gets his 70m from those dickheads.

Maybe he’ll do a Bale and sit on his contract for a couple of years, playing lots of golf

Mudryk? Hell fucking no

I’m confused. Surely Sterling would just take a hit from Chelsea, get say a 15m signing in bonus from us and 150k a week?

He has no reason to do that. They’ve treated him like shit

Well no, he shouldn’t take a full hit, but why not take say 15 from Chelsea and join another team? Staying there kills his career.

They can do the Arsenal pre 2023 special of paying players to leave.

yeah i cant see sterling wanting to miss out on the £70m they owe him throughout his contract he will do a bale if he needs to.

There’s no incentive for him to walk away from millions of pounds. Literally none

Hmm, he has trophies galore, his career is pretty set in stone from here.

he is in the end of his career now anyway he wont care less…that £70m tho, sets him up nicely.

Exactly, the presumption he cares about playing again is a bold one.

50-70m for training with the reserves for 3 years when you’ve completed football? Sounds horrible.

Please let me find a place that will pay me that well to basically do nothing.

Sterling allegedly owes Chelsea millions for reasons I can’t quite grasp. Chelsea owe Sterling millions for the remainder of his contract.

In this situation, I’d be expecting lawyers from both sides to consider a “drop hands” offer where both parties walk away without financial compensation. This can be agreed within an hour if there’s willingness to settle on both sides.

Then it would depend on whether Sterling is happy to take a lower wage to join us.

Can’t see it happening, can’t see anything happening.

Eh?
