God it was a free loan replacing Nelson who we wanted to put in the shop window.
Wasn’t pathetic at all, his performances have largely been but the fact we didn’t actually sign a winger or forward was the problem not the sterling / Nelson trade.
Feels like he blew his chance. Merino secured a starting spot up top with this performance and that also makes Tierney a more viable option out wide.
I guess he can warm the bench for Nwaneri now.
I do feel he’s far better on the right so it may end up fine.

How’s it pathetic to swap Nelson for Sterling?
Had we not everyone would be screaming how stupid it was to rely on injury prone Nelson who’s been out for 3/4 months now.
Logic dictates that move in isolation was fine.

Yeah, can shit on Sterling all we like but Nelson’s biggest problem here wasn’t even that he wasn’t good enough. Lad couldn’t stay fit to save his life.
Anytime he got momentum it wasn’t long before he was out with an injury.
